Both players need to be expelled and locked up, hopefully charged as adults and stomped flat--no plea bargains and maximum sentences.
Coach needs to be fired.
Football season needs to be cancelled.
All players on the team need to be banned from all school sports permanently.

I heard on the news tonight that the police are looking into it.
The color of these kids doesn't matter.This was an assault.

Are you being serious or are you somehow making fun of me and insinuating somehow I am over reacting in my comments?

IF you are serious I think you are off a bit here. No need to blame anyone but the two who did this. IF it somehow is learned the coach was aware or authorized it add him to the mix too. The rest of the kids shouldn't be punished for what those two did though. They however deserve the book thrown at them and IMO some time in jail.

That is good that the Police are involved. I don't see what the delay is though? One view of the video shows it was clearly an intentional act by those two players. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could see that!

I am ok with the delay IF it is because they want the strongest case possible and they need time to make it so they can go for the felony. I am NOT ok with it if they feel they need more for an arrest period.

If these k id's get juvi it's all a big joke, and the likelihood of some kind of mass murder years down the road is so high since they got "screwed off the football team by all those jerks" - is how they will look at it if they get a slap on the wrist.

Some kind of HIGHER assault charge (these libs made up "verbal assault.." lol..) that STICKS that could get them like 5 TO 10 IN THE ADULT BIG HOUSE, with POSSIBLE expunge mentioned on first-time offense.. Justice served.

You are absolutely right that if they get away with this thing that they will be in that mindset for life.
 
Tonight the news said the players claim the ref used racial slurs at them earlier.
Also an assistant coach was involved.
 
The players already played the race card so despite whatever is absolutely visib in the video (assault).... They will make off with cash after a year or two. The school district will loose both ways. The ref they will fight hardest because he probably is arranged through a regional sports conference. He'll still get a hundred grand. The students will avoid jail with the race cars done the ref lawsuit in them. They will furthermore sue the school and the lawyers will dig up the fact that the guideance counselor was sick a few days and missed their yearly check in appointment. Also their bus was late a few days. They'll. get an amount well never hear about from the district. The district will have raised rates on insurance an will let go a few peon teachers as lambs. Then do a sensitivity inservice to satisfy the legal team for future claims resistance.
 
Ah yes, the bad man said mean things about me so I am justified in doing anything I want defense. A real winner in our society these days. Wouldn't surprise me if people don't come out defending the boys and blaming the Ref now.

As said, those 2 boys need jail time. Sounds like the Asst Coach does as well.

The ref needs to press hard for battery, assault, and attempted murder because of the fact that the thugs are claiming that he used racial slurs, and the helmuts are a deadly weapon against an unprotected person (no pads, ect) the action was intentional.

I hope they get charged as adults and go to the slammer for a decade or two.....

on that note....I knew it. (-:

Race Card tactics. How pathetic of these thugs.

Like I said, this ref will sue the school district for his pain and injuries, whiplash, headaches, ...etc....
 
My first thought was, the ref must have done something pretty terrible to make these kids decide to do that. A bad call or two happens, no way to avoid that, but this was something much more.

Maybe these two kids deserve some punishment. Or maybe the ref just got what was coming to him.

Probably his pride was hurt more than anything else.

Let the lawyers sort it out.

Kick them off the team, some school suspension, the college athletics know what these two are about if they want these zeroes, and remove the rest. Maybe banish the entire team from play if coaching involved or not replaced.

Jail time is useless for any long period but community service could do wonders.

Are you serious?!?! The ref could have been seriously injured or even killed with the force and impact of those hardened helmets.

Whether he was actually seriously injured or not and whether the coach has anything to do with it those two are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. I hope they get 20 years for attempted murder.
