Egg panic in my area.

Costco has lines..
I was at one near polaris (columbus ohio)
and it was bigger than the black friday bestbuy line snaking around the building 10min before opening...

Here in NW Washington State, eggs are a bit pricey ($9 doz cage free) but honestly not too much per meal compared to beef.

They are less expensive across the border in BC along with many foods right now.

Beef has been sky high a couple years and getting worse recently.

Oranges and bananas are slowly going extinct

Eggs have been expensive unless you buy medium from Woodmans

Milk is more expensive recently

Many pork products especially sausage are low quality smelling/ tasting very aged / rancid well before the expiry date

Too much attention and panic over something that will raise cholestrol levels and clog ateries. I am even noticing supply issue signs in my store for chicken and turkey products. The meat cases are getting quite thin. No panic buying from me.

For $500 cash, I will reveal a facility in mid-Michigan that is selling unwashed* cage free eggs $5/tray of 30.

*unwashed = better...... they store MUCH better due to the natural protective layer intact (bloom) . Just have to deal with a speck or two of poo here and there, something farmers (and real men, lol) don't blink an eye at.

This is pretty much the standard in the UK. And why we can keep our eggs out of the fridge. Our eggs are just stored in a basket on the kitchen worktop.

Walmart here in Kentucky there a few cents over four dollars people are buying a lot of eggs here , I don’t get the panic mode of people and most people are not too smart no matter what part of the country they live in

I eat eggs every morning. Yes they are expensive as is everything else. I have not had any trouble finding them well stocked at my local store. I was at Costco Monday and folks were buying them like it was the end of times.

Too many people have backyard chickens in area so supply of $4-5 /dozen eggs constant has not changed. Especially for suppliers who don’t clean eggs and sell them.
