Im looking at 3 oils and comparing the specs, Mercedes calls for a 0/30 to 5/40 293 spec or above.

What would you choose here are the respective specs, I dont really understand what all the figures mean so need your help!

The Mobil 1 New Life has an excellent viscosity index and good HTHS. Should work well in almost any motor.

The Motul you reference is X-Lite 0w30 it looks like. That is a very high quality oil with group V (ester) basestocks. I'm almost inclined to recommend that over the Mobil assuming the price isn't too high.

Yes I'd go for the Motul X-Lite as well since it is a lighter oil at all temp's to the other two choices.

The only reason the Motul isn't popular in NA is it's price being at least double if not triple the price of M1.

Mobil 1 can routinely be had for $6/qt in the US. The X-Lite is at least $12/qt, if not more, because it must be ordered online.

Joey at Motul USA has alluded to the fact that the X-Lite 0w30 has the highest ester content of all their street oils, except for the "race" 300V stuff.

Is this a 'brick and mortar' place??

As far as 300V goes, Stable Energies in Garfield will ONLY take pre-paid orders for 12 packs of 2 liter caselots for the weights they don't keep on the shelf.
Which of course are the weights I would possibly use (5W-30/10W-40).
