I have a $50 coupon from AAP and was checking out things on their site. It seems they have Edge in 0W20, and it shows it in stock at a store I shop at. They were unpacking oil today and have a space on the shelves for it.

So if any of you 0W20 guys are interested here is the link. If you buy it at the store it is part of their $29.99 OC special with a Bosch Distance Plus Filter.

Wow! More oil choices for ~10k miles in 0w-20 flavor! First M1, next Synpower, now Edge, are available on store shelves in 0w-20. This is great!

Yep, I was wondering when the 20 wt flavors would appear. On the Castrol site, they're showing both 5w-20 and 0w-20 Edge. I hadn't looked for a while, but as of a few months ago, neither 20 was showing up. Now they are. Shoot, more choices than I'll ever be able to work through...

Can't use that $50 coupon on oil deal. You have to pay full price. I already tried.

That's why I mentioned buying it at the store. I was checking the site and stumbled upon it. That $50 coupon can easily be used up on other things I need. The coupon can't be used for the OC specials.

LOL we hope.

With SN licensing just around the corner will they reformulate? Or do these new oils already meet the spec, and its just a matter of forking over the cash for the license? That was something that always confused me when the new spec was only a few months away.

I would think most of the top tier synthetics already meet SN/GF-5 although I'm told some will have to be tinkered with to meet the more demanding fuel economy test.

Mobil 1 was the first to introduce a 0w20 to the market. Castrol is now the first to introduce a 0w20 15k mile oil (retail).

Confirmed Edge sighting at local AAP for both 0W20 and 5W20. There was no shelf space allocated yet; but boxes were stacked by Castrol promotional display.

I'm thinking any of the 0W20 oils that pop up now pretty much meet the SN GF-5 specs. I doubt they'd want to be tweaking them now. JMO. Thanks for the replies!

For $29.99 for 5 qts and Bosch Distance Plus filter I think this will be the new oil for my Jeep. Hopefully by the time I'm ready a VOA will be posted.
