Wow. Interesting. They are definitely heading in the right direction with the synthetic NextGen. Thanks for sharing.

Now who will purchase a bottle and send a sample for VOA?

I assume the product is very similar to SynPower 5W20/5W30. The spec sheets look pretty close. The interesting new thing is that the NextGen Synpower spec sheet lists HTHS @150C (2.7 and 3.1 respectively). Personally, I would like to see some more used oil analysis either the SN SynPower or the NextGen Synpower. I remember that older SynPower used oil analysis showed very bad TBN depletion after just 6K miles, which was not encouraging.

Nice specs on both of those grades. NOACK of 10% for both and a nice VI of 172 for the 5w30. Both meet dexos 1.

Good point and on top of that finding a used oil analysis is tough and if you do one or two thats all. Mobil or PP you have tons. The TBN is very important in stop/go short trips world.

I would feel totally confident with the NextGen Synpower. I was waiting to see the NOACK and now I see it is the same as for (regular)Synpower. Great option for DI engines. Synpower has the Lowest NOACK for a 5w30 I can find (besides PU.)
