Amazon had a good price for Ecoguard air filters so I was considering one for my Hyundai … Any Ecoguard air filter experiences good or bad ?

Air filter quality is a tough thing to judge. Looking at a filter tells you almost nothing. I suppose you'd have to run a series of UOA's to check the silicon values.

I have used Ecogard in a few different cars and they were fine. As others mentioned it's hard to tell how good they are, but they seemed to be well made and sealed well.

I’ve used them more than once. Priced well (at times) sturdy and no issues with fit. I used one in my daughter’s journey and she ran it till it was dirty enough to change, about 50k. When she traded the car it had almost 200k and used not a drop in 10k intervals. I currently am using carquest premiums I got from rock auto for next to free and they’re equally as good.

They feel solid, made of quality materials. However, I looked at a comparison test of multiple air filters recently and saw Ecogard's efficiency is below most other air filters including Fram and Super Tech/Champion Labs.

.

I am using one now.. they seem very well built but not sure about the filtration quality.

this vid shows the Ecogard did not do well at all but this is the more rare filter design afaik.. I have the other style with the white material and not sure how spot on this brand ranks testing is, as their oil filter testing method got blown apart fwir over in the oil filter secition.

I used an Ecogard on a 13 Suzuki SX4 a few days ago. The filter I took out was a Tokyo Roki Suzuki filter (our last one, installed in 08/2019 @60.7K miles) that was in service for ~36K miles; could have gone much longer based on condition.

In any case, the replacement Ecogard appears to be built well and I have no concerns about it. Some OE filter heavy pictures :):

Perhaps reach out and ask their efficiency stats? I did with Premium Guard and was surprised that they provided me with good details.

As others have said, they appear well built but I don’t think people have ISO figures. I would figure that they’re good based on their oil filters, but that would be pure speculation.

I take it that even though the Ecoguard air filtering level may be less than competitors - wouldn’t the Ecoguard begin to improve with more mileage ?
