Do any of you have recent experience with EBC Red brake pads? Last mention I have found was back in 2006, by brakes are starting to squeal so this may be a time to slap on something more than oems.

I’d like to pair these with the premium series rotors. Are these any good? I am staying away from slotted, drilled as I too well know the disadvantages.

Looking for a combo of good quality rotors with low dust pads that have a good bite but do not wear out the rotors too much.

EBC Red Ceramic pads are what I run on the rear of my Caterham.
I'm on my second set and like them a lot.
My car gets a lot of track use. They are much cleaner and last much longer than any metallic pad I've used before.

I've never used EBC myself (somewhat of a TRW fan and I don't use sports pads) but I've heard they're quite good.

I think you should go with softer pads to reduce squealing. And some brake kits include thermo conductive paste to smear on the back of the pads which may also help with squeal.

I put them on my 99' VW Passat in 2002 at 55,000 mi. Just replaced them this winter at 160,000 mi. so got 105,000 mi. on them and worked great for that period.
