All alkaline eventually will leak. I've switched to Lithium and no leak problems. Catch them on sale every now and again.
I just use Panasonic blue colored 9v batteries from a dollar store, never an issue and they last.I had some 9v Amazon batteries, of which about half of them were decent. Several I put into smoke-detectors were chirping within a month.
I'll never buy that brand of battery again. I'll pay for Duracells.

Had a 20 pack of duracell AAA quantum. 15 leaked.....inside the device. Maybe knock offs ?????? They were NOT on sale either, nor expired.
None in this house. Never againduracell for the win
say what? have you bumped your head?None in this house. Never again
ExactlyDuracell is junk! Guaranteed to leak and ruin what ever they are in. Ive had several expensive tools trashed from leaking duracells.
Broke the plastic case on the charger but that was about it. Those batteries were a thing years ago but they didn't charge very many times and were cheap. Had I noticed the tiny writing soon enough I'm sure they would have refunded me but it wasn't worth the hassle. I threw the rest of them in the garbage. There is always somebody selling a knockoff and makes a profit before Amazon and ebay catches them.Never read / heard of a " rechargeable" alkaline battery. Thought they were one time use only batteries. Amazon must have made a mistake in selling them as such. I've read that Lithium, NiCad, NiMH are rechargeable. Scary that they blew up. Good thing they didn't start a fire.
Very true. Unfortunately, knockoffs are everywhere nowadays.Broke the plastic case on the charger but that was about it.
