Ea189 2.0 TDI Oil Filter

Another VAG diesel oil filter that must have been in bypass, engine ran without issue. 70 something thousand on the clock but no real idea how long this filter was in service. Tech who changed it said that the filter housing was very tight but that the oil did not appear sludged.

The filter pleats were very hard to move and the carbon buildup was very hard rather than soft.

They put oil in at the factory. You don't need to change it, that's just oil companies stealing from you.

Think those kind of auto owners should probably just get an EV so they don't have to take care of engine maintenance.
