E4OD FLUID HELP

I am up in the air on which atf fluid to get...

i have a 96 f250 with a 460 and a E4OD with 112,000 miles.

I don't know if I should go Mobil 1 ATF or amsoil

or go cheaper with a Mag 1 dex/merc. or little better with kendall?

I don't have alot of extra cash with being in college.

Normally I run amsoil in my rides but needing 18qts at 10$ a quart thats a major hit.

Is it worth the extra $ to go with amsoil or mobil 1?

I can get 5 gallons of mag 1 for 45$ or 5 gallons on kendall for 100$... both say dex/merc and no merc V.

another thing that bugs me is how amsoil atf is like a universal fluid and that doesn't seem right for a E4OD.

Any input?

If the Mag1 meets the specs then use it. You can change more frequently when you're getting it for $9 a gallon.

I have an E4OD in a 1996 F-350. Over 180K, stock, no rebuilds. Napa Mercon almost all of its life.

where is mag 1 for $45? i'm in the same boat, my 97 van e4od needs 16 quarts.
