My friend shows up with his new Tesla Dual Motor monster. So, after a little bit of persuasion, he lets me drive it. As always, driving a Tesla is immensely satisfying. In my opinion, they are the finest driving sedans ever built.

So, he directs me to come to a complete stop, then "stab" the accelerator to the floor. OMG. I was not ready for that. I drive an 11 second car and this thing out launches mine by a factor of 2. The initial launch was hard enough to make me dizzy. Probably because my head slammed the headrest! It's stupid fast off the line, and I mean stupid fast.

OK, so the rest of the car is incredible too. The new seats are really, really good. The steering is amazing and the handling prowess is excellent. Overall, it's as perfect a car as I've ever driven. No, I take that back, it's the best car I've ever driven. And, I get to drive all sorts of cool stuff. Now I simply need to figure out a way to earn more money, 'cause I want one, badly....

The display is amazing too. There is some talk about integration of WAZE. Those of us who drive a lot find WAZE to be a powerful tool. As it shows accidents, traffic, hazards, cops, etc.

My 407HP Turbo Honda S2000 was an absolute gutless let down after driving the Tesla "D".

What I like Tesla Model-S is it looks like a normal beautifully crafted 4-dr sedan, it doesn't show any clue about it's an EV likes BMW i3 and I8 or Toyota Prius or Nissan Leaf.

Performance/handling wise, it can stay with any full size sedan from any make, as long as it has good high performance tires.

Awesome cars. Almost everyone raves about them, Tesla must be doing a lot right. I'm working on my FIL to go ahead and order one. He's in the market for another sedan and I think a P85D would be perfect. I'm assuming your buddy got the new sportier seats in his. How would they be for a bigger person, 6'3", 220?

I still prefer the sound and feel of a true V8. While Teslas are cool and all, I prefer my manual CTS-V Coupe.

20 years from now the V8 will sound as odd and perhaps even charming as a one-cylinder horseless carriage does today.

I like the conventional exterior looks of the Tesla but wish they would make a smaller and less-expensive model for the real world.

The Model X is due for delivery in the spring of 2016.

Build and design is far superior to what mainstream auto manufacturers have to offer. There was a video on the manufacture and assembly of the car. Most impressive.

+1
This has to be the only electric passenger vehicle I can think of that isn't absolutely revolting, and looks like a normal handsome sedan
