(or words to that effect, I graduated high school in 94- in the midst of the best C4 years). I bought an LT4 car over an 85 not because of the performance (an L98 is plenty fast on the street and can easily be modded to 300+hp), but because I like the body and interior better, and the 96 had less "nickel and dime" stuff wrong with it. I bought a C4 because when I was a kid, that's the car that I thought to myself if I ever made it, I would buy a Corvette, and that one was the ultimate to me. If we want to rip on cars, I think I can rip on bunches of them. If you're going to make a statement, make it factual, not opinionated based on bias....."junk,trashy, etc". How about high 12 quarter miles? How about 170+mph top end? Not too many cars on the road can do that, I don't care what era. Even fewer can do it for what I paid for my Vette. Is it hard to get in and out of (especially given two bad discs in the ol back)? Yes. Is the interior not up to par with new ones? Yes. Does it run like a scalded dog, handle great, and look amazing to me? [censored] yes. If we want to make comparisons, pull out a similarly priced car from the same era that performs better than mine. None such vehicle exists. When I hear you guys ripping C4s, I hear lots of bias, snobbery, and advocating for your choice of car by ripping mine. How about you see if your 96 that cost 35K brand new can do what mine can? Lets talk facts, not impressions if we are going to be negative. For every negative opinion you have about C4s I have a very positive one, and you won't change my opinion any more than I will change yours.

First of all, I COULD NOT agree with you more, but you must've NEVER run into any uppity 'car snobs' (like some on here).

Let me explain their mentality to you;

They talk up a storm about the "fine leathers" and "quality feel/fit and finish" of the interiors of their high priced Euro/Teuton/Nippon sports models, and put down domestic sportscars because they are embarrassed by getting their behinds handed to them performance-wise, especially for soooo much less coin stock for stock, and new for new.

They MUST justify their over-expenditures somehow after all, right??

Next, soooo many of them feel that they MUST BE a better human being than you since they (might?) have/make more money than you do, and are also better for having to show it ('rolling fur coat' syndrome).
In other words, you HAVE TO BE lower than, or beneath them since you opted to buy a Vette (new OR used) over a; Porsche/Merc/Audi/etc. (new OR used).

I personally will take performance, and products mostly made here, over snooty, country-club status.

You can imagine the [censored] I have faced with my Chrysler. Snobbery is rampant, and easy, so many people are into it.

I didn't buy my car to impress others, I bought it to impress ME.

I've had a few Vettes, still looking for that 64 ZL1 all aluminum motored one that I can afford!
