Its been pushing 100 for awhile and I'm too old to get under my car, so off to Valvoline for the change.
They allow me to bring my oil oil and filter and happily go on their way. I want to sample for analysis this time, and wonder if the length (within reason) of time from the time the engine was started or stopped changes the specifics of what might be in the oil? IOW can I send the tube down when the oil is been sitting overnight, or will it give a different result if I have the tech drop a sample into the jar when he changes it hot?
