Not sure how this would taste as a regular soft drink, but as a first time trying Dr Pepper Zero Sugar Blackberry, very 😋

I tried it about 2 months ago, awful :(

Cherry is good though.

Fun fact, has anyone had OK cola? I and several friends in high school (mid 90s) worked at a mall and brought in random people to taste test it. It was basically orange coke. We would give the person a sample of 6 different flavors, and they had to sit through an awkward VHS video talking about the brand.

I like it. the first hit when you open it def. smells like cough syrup...

Re: the sweetener, this like most of the other current generation "Zero Sugar" softdrinks ( not DIET) Contain 2 sweeteners, that together taste better, more like the regular stuff. they contain, yes, aspartame as mentioned above, but also Acesulfame Potassium.
"Acesulfame K is often blended with other sweeteners (usually sucralose or aspartame). These blends are reputed to give a more sucrose-like taste whereby each sweetener masks the other's aftertaste, or exhibits a synergistic effect by which the blend is sweeter than its components"

if you don't know Liam there, His First Degree was in Sleep medicine, then while working for OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, they paid for him to go back to School, and he became a Nutritionist.

the first time I ran across "Ace-K" as some of the cool kids call it, was in Pepsi 1. Remember that? tasted WAY better than Diet Pepsi ( which has always tasted...like a Cleaner of some kind to me) and only 1 calorie. eventually that got replaced by Pepsi MAX, and then a few years ago, here in the states at least, Pepsi Zero Sugar, which is My current Favorite. ( they kept the MAX branding in other countries)
I honestly preferred it over regular Pepsi even before my type 2 diagnosis

Can't do aspartame. It gives me a splitting headache and makes me feel awful all over. When it was first introduced I had a doctor tell me it was essentially poison and to stay away from it.
Same here.
I don't think most of the artificial sweeteners are that good at all. I have tried Vitamin water with stevia and monk fruit sweetener. Those may be safer, but I'm not sure.

But I won't consume sucralose( splenda) or aspartame( NutraSweet) or definitely not erythritol!!

Love me some Coke Zero admittedly I am hooked but never more than one a day usually no more than 5 a week. Prefer it to real Coke on taste alone and it makes me wonder how they still sell Diet Coke at all. 🤷

My daughter gets A&W Zero and Cream Soda it’s also very good but no caffeine.

I bet the Dr. Pepper is awesome but for whatever reason Dr. Pepper bothers my stomach so I avoid it.

Then there’s the poor unenlightened wretches like @Zee09 who gag down unsweetened tea at 4 in the morning… 🤮

I liked Dr Pepper Blackberry Zero, until I got sick of it.

We drink a variety of zero sodas, they're better than diet sodas, generally much closer to full sugar soda taste.

I just wish I could still find Coke Vanilla Zero. Only place I can get it is a freestyle machine.

There is a Coke Zero knockoff from a small company called Western Family which distributes products from all sorts of other companies. Their zero product has the same aspartame and Ace-K. It taste identical and is a couple of bucks cheaper for a 12 pack. It also tends to come on sale more often.

There is also Moutain Dew Zero out there. I’ve found it at a local store called Save On Foods
