We stand on the heads of giants for sure, but there have been visionary geniuses in each generation. They sure do! The boomers invented it, implemented it and streamline it!
The rest was easy stuff for the next generations to improve what was invented and built for them.![]()
My company is strict with IT security - constant training - mock phishing attacks etc … In the last decade - nothing but iPhones - no Androids. Only approved apps. You have to install OS updates when you get the message - or service is cut … thousands of employees ~ take it or leave it.
The phone as status symbol. I suppose that's why they make diamond-encrusted 18k gold phone cases. Can't imagine thinking an iPhone is some kind of luxury good.
Judge rules against Google App Store and orders big changes on Google behavior

I can't disagree, there are winners and losers in this world and all those mentioned companies (and all corporations) use law as a way to make money, grab market share, steal patients, anything and everything, that is the job of their multistory built in law firms. None of them are saints. Google lost this round. It's just business. Though the judge did declare they are operating a monopoly. Bottom line is, the consumer wins, so the system does work when it can.Epic games has to pay for the fortnite refund lawsuit somehow.
Epic games is also suing, or has sued, or is suing again Apple, Samsung, and Steam. They're a very lawsuit happy company.
What's the source of these charts? I would like to poke around on that site, whatever it is.I believe it would be good to keep in mind that there's one OS that is ran on one phone while the other side has one OS on many phones.
Here's the global, USA, China, and India market shares per OS. No EU or rest of world data from the article the graphs below came from.

For the 3rd world it is definitely considered a luxury item. Apple knows this and actually charges more outside the US. Every time we go to Brazil we've got a number of Apple items in our carry-on luggage, because they cost less in the US.Can't imagine thinking an iPhone is some kind of luxury good.
They're user friendly if you are used to doing things the Apple Way. Same thing with Macs.I'm not so passionate about tech devices. I do, though, find iOS phones irritating to use as I am not accustomed to them and have have to deal with them from time to time for projects at work for testing purposes. I never found them to be all that "user friendly" and it seems to me that it takes more clicking around to do the same task as on Android.
I work in Cybersecurity, I wish killing USB ports was in our toolbox...Yes, they get pretty creative - but attachments are still a big door for hackers - they killed our USB ports years ago …

The Supreme Court denied Epic's final appeal in the parallel lawsuit and now this on the Google case? Makes no sense.Judge rules against Google App Store and orders big changes on Google behavior

Yeah, I’m going to liquidate overnight based on that opinion …So says the Jokester.
Yep and clearly we all have one... Actually saw an interesting documentary on Starbucks yesterday and how they've 'managed' to get where they are and far from impressive in the grand scheme of things. For yrs I've related them to Apple in that you're paying a premium for the experience as the products are barely tolerable. IMBHO both brands appeal to those that don't mind spending more and are none the wiser that far better/different can be had.Yeah, I’m going to liquidate overnight based on that opinion …

What do enterprise class devices run on? That is when devices are for production, not playing games and checking email. The Google Play store is Wild West compared to Apple Store many complain about as they have strong vetting:
$70k in crypto stolen from users of Google Play installed app:
