I now have Motul Gear Power 75W80 in my BMW. Excellent stuff. Better than D4 I had before.

D4 was too notchy for my liking, MT-90 too thick, MT-80 notchy much like D4. MT-85 was perfect for my car and CLIMATE.

Thread 'Red Line 0w-30 VOA'

Submitted a VOA of Red Line 0w30 using NAPA's kit, which seems to use ALS Labs for the actual analysis. The report say 10w30 but was indeed 0w30 purchased in Jan 2018.

Look, +3000ppm calcium? Why on earth would that be needed? I understand that they want to say "high detergency" but check this Mobil 1 oil rated for 20k miles with one fifth of that

HPL with the addition of AN too which is nice. This and the Red Line 0w20 are very nice 0w20's.

Watching a few youtubes on Redline and reading posts on Reddit and people absolutely swear by the stuff. I've decided to give the 5w30 a try. Seems to be better than Amsoil based on what others are saying. Definitely isn't cheap but I ordered from FCP Euro. They don't seem to charge anything extra so if I don't like it I won't use it again but if I do like it , $18 a change moving forward for me (shipping), not bad.

Their PAO CVT Fluid, along with their Si-1 are hard to beat. I like their 0w30 & 5w30 too. If only two, the cvt fluid and si-1 is my suggestion and my most dedicated purchases.

It's interesting you run it in a Honda. The specs say that it is not intended for Honda CVTs.
