Don't see much about Redline here. Why not?

When I bought it, it had the infamous red sludge from the standard BMW synthetic oil changes. Prior owner was not diligent in oil changes, subscribed to the BMW extended OCI. I immediately started using Red Line in it and did short OCI‘s to clean it up. When I had to replace the valve cover gasket, my tech took this photo. He was amazed. It runs better than when I bought it. In-line six BMW engines run even more smoothly with Red Line in the crank case. Thus will never use conventional/group 3. I own / not lease. ;-)
Redline needs to contact you to do some advertising😳🤣 Very impressive how well it’s cleaned . Looks brand new again 👍

Watching a few youtubes on Redline and reading posts on Reddit and people absolutely swear by the stuff. I've decided to give the 5w30 a try. Seems to be better than Amsoil based on what others are saying. Definitely isn't cheap but I ordered from FCP Euro. They don't seem to charge anything extra so if I don't like it I won't use it again but if I do like it , $18 a change moving forward for me (shipping), not bad.
I use their synthetic power steering fluid and have been for many years on my 2002 Camry

I was looking into redline oil for a long time, but their calcium content was extremely high, like an old school oil.

Look, +3000ppm calcium? Why on earth would that be needed? I understand that they want to say "high detergency" but check this Mobil 1 oil rated for 20k miles with one fifth of that

Keep in mind there are two different product streams for Redline:
1. Black bottle, which is just rebottled Kendall/P66 oil
2. White bottle, this is the "original" style Redline products, which have historically had a robust additive package and a PAO/Ester base oil blend

I had no idea they made a black bottle of Redline.

I think RL has improved a bit since 2022 based on latest revision to SDS where it was pointed out that they are now using a higher quality PAO. The ester component is still there based on high virgin oxidation values. The high-performance line is still full SAPS. Very shear stable oil line. They also have access to P66's testing facility.
If your looking for mid SAPS, gowith their Performance Series 5w-30 Euro oil, if you are interested in mid SAPS. I don't use that oil anymore since they started price gouging. I have using their manual transmission oils/diff since about 8,000 miles on my Hyundai tuner for years, but transmissionferred over to HPL transmission/diff oils on my last drive train oil change. Wife's Rav4 is 100% Redline except motor oil is Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 for life now.

Is it true that Redline esters do not clean?

I believe I read that someone contacted Redline to confirm. Lots of performance but not designed to clean.

When Redline was more talked about here - I recall film strength and Noack being in many comments … I’m using the ester/PAO 10W-30 in my main generator - figure it handles the heat … and yes, low Noack.
