Well I hoping to by this filter for one of my car's (Corolla 04), and also hoping since it is made by Donaldson that it be better than the most common oil Filter here in Canada such as, FRAM.

NOTE: FRAM Synthetic Oil Filter, sold in US as FRAM Extended Guard.

I can get this from a local shop who sell's truck parts, I do not know the price yet. But if it is CAN $13.00 or less I sure will buy it as Extended Guard/Synthetic Filter is sold for that price at Part Source and for 13.99 Canadian Tire.

Amsoil also sells this filter, do not whether it will work out to be cheaper to buy it from them.

If this lasts 10K KM I will be a happy camper.

The Filter which is for 04 Corolla

Some info about this filter from Amsoil's Website
...Increased engine emissions control and tighter tolerances within the engine require high efficiency filters.....

I am really inclining to buy this filter because technology seems to be better hence guessing that this will be better than WIX/NAPA GOLD, K&N and FRAM EG!

MOBIL 1, Purolator PureOne are not available in Canada
Amsoil Ea0 & Donaldson Endurance are WAY EXPENSIVE

If anyone has tried this filter do tell? how much did you and how was it?

If it were me, I'd probably go Napa Gold. But any half~decent filter can do 6000 miles/10,000 km with no problem. I have no firsthand experience dealing with the upper-level frams, but things I've seen online indicate that they're much better than the lowest orange-can frams we get in the US.

I guess, at a relatively short OCI, I probably wouldn't shell out 13.00 bucks for a filter. Or loons. Especially when I can get a napa gold to do it for 6.50, or some filters in the $3.00 range that will also do a good job for that interval. But if your question is to the quality of the donaldson filter, I think you'll find a lot of people have good things to say about them.

Bepperd!

Believe or NOT

I found Donaldson P Series filters for ALOT cheaper LOCALLY!!!

THANK's GOD ALL MIGHTY!

just not sure why folks aren't big on Donaldson P series filter on this forum...it costs half or even less perhaps as compared to PureOne, Mobil1 and K&N

Only in Canada. Here a P1 is about $6 ..NAPA will be variable depending on number (fleet filter if you can handle a few at a time) ..M1 ..$10-$13 ......

That is an excellent filter, although I don't believe it is synthetic. I sell about 200 of that number each month at around $7.50 each, including freight, duties and 16% sales and value added taxes.
I probably have a few used ones around the shop, but don't frequently cut open that size as it is pretty small for my cutter.
