IF my car / truck / whatever called for a SAE 10W-30, API SP I would use this oil if I needed a quart of oil! At $5 a quart I don't think I would drive out of my way to the Dollar Tree on a Saturday morning to buy 5 quarts of oil to do a planned oil change...
I think these Bargain Brand fluids are made and marketed to places and customers that shop Dollar Tree, places like Ollie's ( Get Good Stuff Cheap ) store, Outlets, quick shop gas stations and such as it serves a need when someone is a quart of oil low and in a hurry and on a budget! I can't see me paying the mark up my local 7-11 would charge for a quart of Mobil 1...
I think these bargain brands are a lot better option than we had in the 80's as back then if you walked into a Jiffy Mart chances are that quart of oil you were purchasing was a recycled oil and labeled as such.
For all I know ALL motor oil now has recycled oil in it but I remember those bottles from the 80's were scary...
