Dollar Store Oil?

As a 1 quart bottle it is cheap indeed. But Wallmart or Amazon sells quite many high quality options for the same price/quart if you are buying a 5 quart bottle, and most cars on the market take at least that much oil anyways. I recently bought 5x5 quart jugs of Valvoline Restore and Protect for less than $6 a quart, and that is about the most expensive oil majority of our cars can realisticly benefit from.

PS: Kirkland is $44/12 quarts right now, that puts it below $4 per quart. I think it is a quite decent oil

I view it as an acceptable top off oil for a reasonable price in a pinch and that's it. There could be legit reasons why you'd buy such an oil. Say your out of town hiking in West Virginia, get back to your vehicle and noticed it leaking oil, you check it and its at the add mark and there is a Dollar General 2 miles away but your far from a Walmart or an autoparts store.

I go through enough oil that it's a hard pass for me--just buy a 5 quart jug from Walmart and done. I use whatever I have on hand in my OPE (mostly, the ATV gets Rotella), even the OPE I don't care about, I don't see a need to go out of my way to get (potentially) sub-par oil

I agree with this.

Guess what I forgot that I had?

DG oil from 10 years ago, still on the back of my shelf in the old tool shed.
Cobwebs and all

DG oil is for the 20 something going down the highway at 9pm and sees the oil pressure light come on in their 2003 Nissan Sentra, and pulls over and checks and sees a dry dipstick.
Oh come on. If it has a checkered flag on it it's racing oil and good for anything!

Let's be clear about something, what is Dollar Tree good 4, Greeting Cards, they used to be .50 cents a card and now they are a dollar a card. I know this is about Vantage Oil, but I had my mom love the cards that I got her from the Dollar Tree store, as opposed to the cards I would get her from the Grocery store at the last minute when I did not plan ahead and the card costs me $7.00

I am cheap on Greeting Cards because they get thrown away, but motor oil from Dollar Tree, I cannot go there.
I just bought a birthday card for my son from Dollar Tree on Sunday! We have a funny tradition of buying silly cards for each other. This was his card 🤣

I just bought a birthday card for my son from Dollar Tree
A few years ago, I switched to buying birthday, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day cards from Dollar Tree, even when that means more than one stop. If I get flowers for my wife from one store, nope, not paying $7.50 for a card that goes in a box after a week (she doesn't throw them out).

I was thrilling myself in DG last night until they threw me out. The $1 aisle is back. . 8 ounce hand sanitizer for $1 ... I bought 12 items...

A divorce is cheaper
