Does PQIA still do oil tests?

Checked out the site tonight as I was interested in checking some oil tests and see nothing has been done since 2022. Are they out of the business of testing oils now?

I've noticed this same thing. It used to be a fun site to keep an eye on for testing results. They also logged it all quite well.

When I brought up the site, the most recent was March 2023 but, I see what you mean. They're just not listing anything recent.

it does appear they are not around , they were a good source of information.

It does say that their hours of business are 9-5, M-F and that they'll be opening on Monday.
I would assume that they are still in business but may be struggling with budget and employee cutbacks/downsizing?

They’ve already been to my office this year.

They’re also working directly with blenders.


It’s easier to cut it off at the start, with entities that can be enforced upon in some semblance of a way. Then trying to track down a bottle that has zero information on it.

That still won’t stop bathtub blenders that don’t work with the PQIA. But it’s at least something. It also makes forcing bathtub blenders out more a problem for the distributors like me. Who can find the oil easier than they can, then either report it or hopefully educate the customer. We can also track down the source way easier and faster than them.
