the Lima Refinery makes 25% of the gas sold in Ohio. and I've lived here the majority of my life,(therefore most of the gas i've burned is from there) so i couldn't really tell ya.

BP DID used to own the Lima refinery(got it when they bought SOHIO), but they sold it back in...'99? '00?
First they just decided to close it, then at the 11th hour Clark stepped in and bought it, after a couple years they sold it to Valero, and for the last decade or so it's been owned by Husky.
but the Fuel Depot just down the road,(next to the tank plant), is owned by marathon.
figure that one the frig out.

I worked at the Canton, OH (heritage Ashland) Marathon refinery from early 2001 until mid-2005. We sold motor fuels directly across the truck rack at the refinery, but BP operated a small terminal served by pipeline in the southeast area of town. Being near the border, some product was sold in Pennsylvania as well as Ohio, transferred through a Marathon terminal in East Sparta. Product pipelines in that area typically had one single oil company as the owner (proprietary) instead of being common carrier pipelines (like Buckeye in eastern Ohio).

I should add that I just returned from a trip to Toledo visiting family for Christmas. Using the Kroger gas going there my Grand Marquis got 24 mpg calculated. Stopped at Costco to fuel up coming back and got 20 mpg calculated. It is pretty consistent for this car but my Sable does similar but not as big of difference. Montero eats all fuel the same. Surprisingly the best fuel mileage I typically get is in 4wd off roading driving less than 30 mph. It will get consistently 20 mpg off road but on the highway gets 17 at best.

Toledo has their own refinery. last i knew a joint BP/Husky venture.
so depending on where that Costco was...

Struck up a conversation with the truck driver unloading at the B&G Fuels gas station. He said he had picked up his load at the Esso loading terminal in Calgary 200 miles away that morning. The week before he picked up a load at the Shell terminal. As far as he was concerned, it was the same stuff the majors sold.

this is not an answer to your Q. just something i saw. at a reg station, the driver was pulling the big fuel hose off. and it didnt have a ground cable. i ask him about that. he said the the ground cable is built into the large hose.
