Do you wear a seatbelt when riding in the BACKSEAT of a car?

Maybe he does.

Either way, it's nobodies business but his.

In the Declaration Of Independence there are examples of three unalienable rights. Life. Liberty. And the pursuit of happiness.
If there are other people in the vehicle, it is like murder when your unrestrained body flies around killing everyone. So no, sorry in that case, your rights go out the window. Go ahead and kill yourself if there is no one else around that can get hurt.

Yeah, you're free to be irresponsible and stick the next guy with the bill/trauma. I don't think first responders enjoy seeing dead bodies, probably get PTSD from it. And of course if someone else caused the accident, who knows what charges they may end up facing with a dead body. And then it's just a waste of life. And government does spend a lot on each person, think of what gets spent per child from grades 1-12. I'm also not sure you can characterize that as being free to choose how you die. Technically I believe it's illegal all around not to wear a seatbelt. But it's not like they lock you up for life if you don't, it's a very minor slap on the wrist if you don't. Maybe that should be the next car feature, a hand that gives you a dope slap on the back of the head if you don't wear a seatbelt.
Well I am glad you lead your life so much better then the vast majority of us. In fact, it seems you lead a perfect, risk-free life. Good for you. Congratulations sir and continue to pontificate to us unwashed masses. You should run for office. The State of Massachusetts probably would love to have a nanny-state overseer as yourself. By the way, my 1 mil umbrella policy will handle the bill, so don't you worry your pretty little self about my bills. Carry on.

If you are TRULY concerned about risk, life, and limb, then I suggest you be more focused on making cell phones inoperable while you are driving. That will reduce death, dismemberment, and other injuries exponentially more than me wearing or not wearing, my seatbelt. Don't even get me started on the perpetually uninsured, unlicensed, and absolute pos vehicles that are on the road. The illegals driving are immune to EVERY law on the books in the US. Literally a "license to kill", but without the license.

I'm not sure why you think that I'm leading my life so much better than the vast majority when it's the vast majority, 90% that wear seat belts. And it's not risk free, about 53% of those out there that do wear seat belts also die in car accidents. It's the 10% that don't that have the other 47%. You basically don't know the difference between risk reduction and risk free.

I'm glad you think money solves everyone's problems. I'm not sure PTSD can really be solved with money.

Also, for the record, I was wearing my seat belt long before it became law and actually voted against the law that allowed for fines if you weren't wearing one. I believe in evolution in action. You basically have to ask yourself how smart you are to wear one or not and calculate the odds. It's clear some people are not good at math or just have the wrong priorities in life. And also for the record, you still haven't provided one good reason not to wear one besides that you find it uncomfortable. I don't find that to be the case at all when I wear one.

You are basically engaging in a lot of logic that's not logical. Whether you wear one or not has nothing to do with those other problems.

You are basically using the Chewbacca defense.

I feel uncomfortable if I don't wear a seat belt.
