Do you use a Razor, Shaver or let it grow?

I usually use a Braun 5 series foil shaver. I have a Norelco rotary shaver which is faster but not as close. I have never grown a beard or mustache by choice.

I've had the full beard at times, but wearing a helmet makes a full beard uncomfortable to me, especially when it's hot. I've used various electric shavers, but am currently using Gillette Mach3 Turbo razors.

Shaver, once in a while if I have time a 5 blade Gillette Mach 5. Difficult getting my [censored] up and going in the morning.

Scissors on the Goatee, clipper part of an electric razor for the moustache part of the goatee.

Merkur adjustable razor with Shark blades for the face/neck

All depend on my mood. I only shave once a week at most. Sometimes let it go a few weeks. I end up using a beard trimmer to get it close and then Norelco and or cheap 3 blade razors. And sometimes just run the beard trimmer over it every few weeks.

Scissors on Goatee.

One of 6 vintage Gillette DE razors on the rest of the face.

Right now I'm using a pre war Gillette fat handle Tech with Astra superior platinum blades.

Wahl clipper when I feel like it. After a while too much dead skin builds up under the beard, so it must go away.

I haven't needed to be clean-shaven for 15 years, and I enjoy it. Too much irritation. The Wahl clipper is close enough for me.

Switched from razor to electric shaver some years back. I used to suffer from really nasty ingrown hair because I was shaving too closely with a razor. Since electric shaver doesn't shave that close, it made my ingrown hair problem completely disappear.

Yes, that's a pretty significant issue. My dad used electric shavers as soon as it became reasonably feasible for him, using a blade when only absolutely necessary. He found blades irritating. My maternal grandfather, despite being a WWI veteran, preferred electrics. He still had a leather strop, probably unused in my lifetime, though. I stick to blades, with a preference for Schick Quattro (look what I did there) for daily shaving, Gillette products if I let it go too long, and a Mach 3 Turbo for my head.

I used to get a LOT of ingrown hairs when I used multiblades.

The advertisements that show them giving the hair a tug, then having it settle back in, plus the "lubricating strips" adding some mud to plug the pores maybe ?

Double edge safety razor little to no issues.

Mostly it used to be dry, (well wet) after a shower, but last year the fam lashed out the night before Father's Day (an improvement over the hurried run to the shops on the day) got some designer soaps...one called "dirt"...is my fave...it smells like loamy dirt.

I switched over to DEs for a while. I enjoyed trying all the different blades, it was kind of like a 10 year long trial and error for me. Now I'm back to using a Mach 3. I get just as close, with less razor burn, but my technique is much better now, and I'm better versed on the creams and soaps that are available. They are so much better than the shaving foams/gels in a can...

Gillette Twin Track purchased in 1972. Blades are getting expensive and hard to find. Walmart stopped selling the Twin Track several years ago but began carrying them again last year.

Don't think I've shaved in 6 years, honestly. I've used all kinds of razors and at the end settled for an old war era Gillette double edge safety razor. But with my skin type the burning and ingrown hairs I've just settled on the ZZ Top look. I still use it for the back of my back, neck, and uh, well, nevermind, but it still works great despite being 60+ years old.
