I Honeslty can’t say I’ve ever brought any spray paint from them that didn’t take a sh*t on me half way through a project. They always end up spraying clear half way through the can. Still can feel plenty of paint, shake it for 60 seconds and tried spraying horizontal and vertical. Tried clearing the nozzle by spraying upside down. No luck.

Are there any tips/tricks to keep this from happening? I’m seriously done with shopping at Pep Boys. Seems like they don’t keep their paints up to date and end up selling 2-3 year old rattle cans. This isn’t just one specific pep boys either. First one was in NY and this ones in AR. The duplicolor label has 2016 printed on it...so I say this thing has been sitting on a shelf for atleast a year and a half.

Do I have to order stuff like spray paint/plasti dip off the internet to get fresh batches?

Just to chime in:

Pep Boys is garbage. They sell floor mats and radios. Their oil sales amount to a lot of nothin'. Heaven only knows how their tires are.

A brand new PB opened near me. I walked in and a lady who spent her life working around the county had been transferred there from another PB.
She whispered in my ear that it was the worst company in the world.

They send me a coupon mailer occasionally. I buy some useful thing with the $5 OFF coupon and give the others to someone.

The only time I ever go into Pep Boys is to browse their clearance racks, or if I've found something cool online such as from Slickdeals or in their flyer. Otherwise, everything is far too overpriced. The place always looks dated and dingy.

I go to Pep Boys for all my wax and polish needs if Wally World doesn't have what i need, they have the biggest selection of auto waxes and polish.

I've never had a problem with the VHT brand paints from there, but then I've never had a problem with VHT products purchased from anywhere.

I used to buy my Red Line SI-1 from them, before I found it in 12 packs for ~$4.50 a bottle LESS online, and they still have that silicone self stick tape for less than ANYONE ELSE, including Sino Mart, and the one they sell is made here as well.
