Do you "flash" to warn of police patrol ahead? Speeding content and rant.

I know when Waze first came on the scene LE was losing their minds about the ability to drop where they were...
Then they thought they could outsmart everyone (and Waze) by placing bogus police markers or marking "Not here" when they were. They didn't know that Waze tracks your reporting and can quickly see when your reports are contradicted by others. Didn't take long for Wave to block or restrict their reporting abilities ! 😂

How is flashing your lights helping people break the law. If it works as intended its slowing people down. I know because people used to do this to me on a mountain road where I used to live, even when there was no police. It always worked. I'll speed but I definitely wont tailgate. That really irks me more than anything so I wouldn't do it to someone else.

I had someone flash me a few months ago and I was doing 100 mph.
I immediately slowed down and waved at the guy when he passed.

When I passed the State Trooper, I flashed the oncoming drivers.
100mph, that’s kinda extreme. I barely do 80 on any highway. I’m mindblown to say least. Where is the fire? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Waze is the way to go, coupled with wireless Android Auto it's a game changer...I don't have to touch a thing, just start the car and have my phone with me and it automatically pops up. Alerts to cops, cameras, accidents, traffic, objects in the road...

But to the main question, I do flash.

Tough to let the potential revenue go. TBH Waze is really all you need but if it was legal I'd have one.
I’ve found waze is great in more populated areas (and a godsend in Chicago). In less populated areas it very quickly becomes just another GPS app, at least in my area.

Sometimes I cruise at 130 ***only*** if the conditions are safe and country road empty.
I’ve done it. Felt incredibly tame in my 300, wouldn’t do it in my truck even if it wasn’t governed to 108 though.

I find that it's directions or routing often sucks. Way too many times it routes us through residential neighborhoods simply because it's a shorter distance. I only use it now for traffic and police without routing turned on.
