I don't necessarily prefer black, but I do want a darker color. A burgundy or dark brown are my favorites, but I will always choose black over a very light color.

I'm with CUJET. I do prefer black interior leather with some nice walnut wood trim. But the darker versions of beige/tan can be very appealing. Overall since I was a kid loving the 5.0 Mustang's and IrocZ''s and Formula's nothing beat black on black!

I'm loving that color compared to the all black in my Sierra. That said, I like the black interiors for myself. Mainly because I'm likely to come out of work with a big splotch of black grease from a roller coaster somewhere on my pants, and having black seats makes it that much easier to hide. My old job working for a railroad I'd be covered in grease or metal shavings from grinding rail and cad-weld bonds... For that I preferred the vinyl seats of the Ram I was driving at the time but would have preferred them to be black instead of grey.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! Black interiors *feel* smaller and more cramped, even when they aren't. Black is HOT in summer even if you park in shade where possible, put up sunshades, and have your windows tinted, as I do. And black shows dirt unless it's coal dust. Ever wear a black suit or sweater? My first car was a lime green metallic and had a matching green cloth/vinyl interior. Car Two was white with a dark red leather interior. The Ford Escort, No. Three, had a dark gray. Every car since then has had either a light gray or a light tan interior. They just feel cooler and more elegant. Tan and cream go with almost any color from gold to dark red, navy blue, or black. That said, if a really nice used car came along with a chocolate brown or navy blue leather interior, I'd be intrigued and wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. But the only colors you see now seem to be black, gray (occasionally), and tan.

I have a black leather interior in my 2018 Chevrolet LTZ SIlverado. If the seats get hot-I turn on the seat coolers. However-from an aesthetic standpoint-I liked the beige leather of my old Sierra. I got $12,000 off sticker-and a $25,000.00 trade in on my old truck. So-I am not complaining.

2006 Volvo XC90, black on black. I prefer Black or Grey interiors ,the tan or light colors reflect to many shadows on the windshield especially at night which i find very distracting. Black on Black or Black on Grey works for me. Its a major deciding factor for me when buying a vehicle. I also have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma White exterior with Grey inside with a Black dashboard and trim, no reflective shadows in daylight or nighttime. TOMB

Seat coolers? What on earth is that, like little Igloo coolers built into the bottom of the seats? I had an S-10 back in the 90s that had a console cooler...it fit 6 cans of whatever you wanted to drink, but no room left over for ice. Kinda defeated the purpose of having the cooler IMO. I hope yours have extra room for ice...

+1 When I'm stuck in traffic, I feel much less agitated in a beige/tan interior than I do in a black/grey interior. Especially with the sunroof visor open. Makes me feel like I'm casually resting in a beautiful sunroom, enjoying the sunshine.

Believe it or not, many vehicles come with cooled or ventilated seats. They have been around for a while now.

I prefer light colored interiors myself, that's why I factory ordered my Corvette as it's very rare to find a gray interior, especially with bright red. It stays much cooler in the summer, when I had a black interior with my 98 Corvette I would almost get second degree burns when I first sat down on a hot day in shorts. I don't have this problem with gray leather. Plus I think it looks nicer too

Ditto. Don't care for it. I get that it might hide stains better, might make it cheaper for the OEM, but last few cars I was in the color made it feel like being in a cave.

Need some contrasting trim with a black interior like in this Mercedes. Otherwise it looks a bit cold and stark like in this BMW.
