Need to replace the left front wheel hub on my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 4WD extended cab pickup. Looking at parts online the options are with heavy duty brakes or without heavy duty brakes. The GVWR of this pickup as listed on the inner door placard is 6400 lbs. Please advise. Thanks!

Go online to a dealership, punch in your truck. You should get 2 different types of pads/ shoes to choose from. Then punch in you're VIN number, that will give you a definite answer as to which ones you have......OR.....you can call any dealership, give them you're VIN number, and they will tell you over the phone if it's heavy duty or not. You can always cross reference the parts later, once you know what you have. This way you can put back what YOU want.

RPO code is JC5. Is this standard brakes or heavy duty?

You have 4 wheel disc’s?

Hydroboost was only for the 2500 and up back then.

The 1500 brakes, as I recall, are the same front rotor setup on each package, but the rear rotors have a dual piston caliper on the 7200 lb-rated. On Suburbans/Yukons the non tow pack had disks in the rear with a single piston caliper, atleast for 2000-2002. Perhaps all the trucks were drum instead.
