Do 5 quart jugs work for you?

5 U.S. quarts or 5 litres work "best" for me, but that coincides nicely with the G37's sump size, and that of many other vehicles I've had. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way. I've used oil in 4 litre jugs before, and U.S. gallons are what I'm using now.

If you have a decently large fleet, look up the name of the wholesale oil distributors in your area and purchase a generic brand full synthetic oil in the 6-gal boxes.

The cost is significantly lower than Walmart and it makes storage and dispensing a lot easier.

5L here in Australia is our normal size and seems to be perfect. Plenty of sumps seem to take between 4-5L. There are some annoying sumps that take more. Maybe that's why we have the special 6L size as well. If your car takes 4-4.5L, three of them gives 4 oil changes which is nice as they're sometimes on sale for the price of a 5L.

My car takes 3 quarts so the jugs are annoying. I buy a case of quarts which equals out to 4 oil changes. The cost is higher but it easier to pour and I like opening fresh containers for each oil change.

How much did you pay for that 6 gallon container?

No, it doesn't.

I don't drive much anymore so my oil changes are longer now.

My truck and Jeep takes 6 quarts. I hate buying 1 jug + 1 quart.

5 quart jugs work for me because my wife's car and my Corvette both take 7 quarts of oil, so three 5 qt jugs for each of those cars works out to 2 oil changes plus 1 quart for top up. And for my Honda 5 quarts works out well because it takes 4 quarts to start and uses 1 quart during a typical OCI (about 7-8000 miles or so)

That's another reason I like buying Mobil 1 in the US, because up here Mobil 1 is not sold in 5L jugs, only 4.4L and the occasional 4L (neither of which works at all)

I have a six quart sump. I buy two 5qt on the MIR and use for top off until the next MIR comes around. Not the most convenient but with a good funnel works just fine and saves me considerable vs buying by the quart.

Yes I like the 5qt. Jugs, my vehicles are 5, 5.5, and 5.5, less hassle then dealing with all the small qt. bottles, I remember a few years back Menards stocked 6qt. Quaker State jugs and that worked great for our 4.0L Jeep.
TOTO.

Yep, they work perfectly in four of my seven vehicles. The other three vehicles leave me a little left over, which will add up to another five quarts very quickly.
