My Comments : Oil just 10W-30 Mostly 95% Summer Time got it out few times during Breaks in Weather ..

Always liked them, wanted one and all but bought one several times and it never came through. 🙁

There’s a yellow throw back one with the round rear window near me. Way cool.
 
that looks like a 93? they went 4.6 in 94 I had a 94 4.6 with an eaton m90 on it.

You could get stuck on a flat dry grass yard the 1 wheel peel was REAL.

Ran cooper wintermaster+ studded in the winter..

Mine was white and the tach was broke it would go backwards.

I always wanted one but when they up sized them and put a back seat in them they lost me. Ford could have gone all in and made the Thunderbird compete with the Corvette. That would have worked.

The older 80's I ran 10w-30 and the 91 got 5w-30. All conventional. The 91 was the most enjoyable to drive but Ford changed headgasket materials in 1990 which is what blew on mine and caused its demise.
 
I never had one but a friend had an 85? with the 302 back in the day. The car was an absolute rat but it was pretty reliable from what I remember, with the exception of a heater hose springing a leak that he attempted to temporarily fix with Saran Wrap.

It had the digital speedometer which couldn’t remotely keep up with the glacial rate of acceleration that the car had.
 
Never had one, but family friend had a silver 1988 Mercury Cougar 3.8 V-6 that caught fire and burned to nothing. She replaced it with one of the Countour-based Cougars with a V-6 and 5-speed; decently quick little car!
 
A friend of mine growing up, his dad had an 89 LX with the gutless, head gasket blowing 3.8 V6. Dealer did the gaskets once in the late 90’s and they blew again several years later. He had to have the transmission rebuilt once as well.
 
I had a 1984 Turbo Coupe with the 5 speed manual. I bought it in 1993 for $1500 and used it as my work beater to keep the miles off my E24 M6. It wasn’t a bad commuter sled, but despite Ford’s contemporary ads it was not a serious competition to the 635CSi.
 
Our First Ford was 1960 Thunderbird 390 HD with Curved Rear seat - it was a Lot Car for Us Young Boys
In Area between 150 acres & Farm next door 325 acres we had lot places to Roam ..

Once in Great while on Saturday night after 1st year getting to run nicely - had to push it out side drive way with
12 x 16ft Lumber Lifted Bumper so High it would slide down - then Roll & we had to chase it Hope in then Start Beast
Open Pipes - No Exhaust Mufflers . . Go Joy Riding with semi bald Tires . . :ROFLMAO::cool:🆒

Poorest Quality in all America are most in Window Manufactures . & . Appliances from
Cheap Plywood - to - Staples - to - Poorly Wrapped Alu. Placed - over - Nice Clear Life Time Sashes . .

Mean While 2X 3X stronger R7-R9 Triple Glazed are Common Place in Europe , UK etc.
Big Box Units MOSTLY Poor and Big Box Stores ( Buyers ) Managers that Actually do Buying
Will Buy Rejects - sell them to Local Home Owners as New . . ( call it Contractor Special ) ..

Software @ those Big Box stores is 100% Designed to Up Charge on Everything !
Even Mulling 2 Window Together can be $295 ~ $496 Fee . . Kits only $18 bucks - Call It Custom . .
is 100% BS . .
