Our Bosch dishwasher is 25 years old and still trouble free. Does a great cleaning job.
I would happily pay a monthly fee for that type of serviceSomething like this would work, although I think you have to pay extra for the smiling model
In all seriousness though, the only dishwasher I had trouble with was Samsung and it wasn’t its reliability, but rather its bottom seal design that would trap food and make it stink real bad. And to add insult to injury it was difficult to clean that area because of that stupid seal.

Bosch owns Thermador. We have a highly recommended Thermador, going on 2 years. It works well so far. No badges on the exterior; apparently this is important to allow it to "match" the GE oven and fridge.
I had to install too many crappy Bosch auto parts back in the day; the sight of it still induces nausea lol. Won't have it in the house.
Their dishwashers are price-competitive with all of the other common brands. Ours was around $700 but this was 5+ years ago. At the time, you could buy a plain, basic dishwasher for $400 or spend $1500+.how much better Bosch appliances may possibly be. They are pricey at a factor of 2x and probably worth it.
Honestly I do NOT put my good knives in the DW. BUTTT........that third rack is friggen awesome IMHO. I really miss it. Large serving spoons, big spear forks, tongs, silicone wear all went in the top rack so easy and not mixed with the everyday cutlery. Our Bosch has only 2 racks (it's their lowest cost model). Some more expensive models have a 3rd rack for cutlery on top. We just couldn't see the point of that and are happy with our 2 rack model which has a removable highly perforated "box" that holds cutlery upright on the lower rack. That works really well and even has the advantage that you can carry it to your cutlery drawer to empty it.
And as someone else pointed out all of these Bosch dishwashers have a well designed, easy to remove filter at the bottom of the tub.

When we get a Bosch, we will certainly shop up to the 3 rack model.
Funny story: When we lived in Lynnwood WA from 1992-2000 I replaced the contractor DW, then the low cost replacement died as well. Then 5 years later when we lived in Duvall from 2005-2021 I replaced the contractor grade DW, that died and the next one died too. So then we found Bosch and people moving in got quality!
We don't put our good knives (or any knife with butter on it) in the dishwasher either. We just lay those large serving spoons, big spear forks, tongs, silicone ware, etc on the top (of our 2) racks between the rows of other stuff. They wash just fine there. I often use silicone ware utensils to prop up some unusual shaped bowls so they can't roll onto their backs and collect water. [These particular bowls have vertical sides and don't fit into the normal slots.]Honestly I do NOT put my good knives in the DW. BUTTT........that third rack is friggen awesome IMHO. That is exactly what I do now. Just seemed faster loading and unloading. So I still don't see the point of having that 3rd rack. Each to their own I guess.
And however many spray arms, motors, etc our Bosch has everything comes out clean. It's a really well designed unit.

I THINK the Bosch had 3 arms.
Material? Unsure what plastics they use. Polypro?? Some of the cheapest use plastic that gets brittle in the caustic bath.
Another DW story. This latest WP was just NASTY inside when we moved in. Hard detergent crust, scum, etc.........I bought a couple pounds of citric acid and ran it repeatedly, sometimes with quarts of vinegar. We also have added a water softener. Now the unit is absolutely spotless. The only problem is sometimes the logic firmware glitches. So I have to reboot at the breaker and then it works fine until a power outage or rather a surge
