DINO PRICE POINTS

After reading a lot of great info here I went to my WallyWorld looking for PY 5-30. Weeks of looking they are always out. They have 10-30 and 5-20 most of the time but 5-30 always out.

FINALLY I find they have a few 5qt bottles of the PY 5-30. Price check time and the PY is about $3.00 more than Castrol. Was wondering what that is all about. I understand PY is [censored] good stuff but I always views Castol as the pricier of the oils.

So, I ended up with 2 qt jugs Castrol.

IMO PYB pricing is so close to some synthetics especially when the synthetic is on sale that it is not worth it. GTX Castrol is fine, and imo, just as good as Pennzoil

I always look for conventional to be around $2 a quart without rebates. Then I stock up for a year or two of OCI's. If I am out of oil and it is time for a change and I can not find a sale, I will go to walmart and buy either a 5qt jug of quakerstate conventional or pennzoil conventional. Dependent on price.

Dino has skyrocketed the last 18 months or so...wish my income went up as fast as oil has!

go to K-Mart & get the 1 gallon jugs, they will ring up @ $4.00 - $7.00 each

Already cleaned mine out LOL! I'm set for over a year now I just need some self control to stop buying oil.

Thats regional.. I checked 3 kmarts by me and they all were reg price.

At the Walmarts around here in Toledo, GTX and PYB are the same price. They are both cheaper than VWB.

Me too-but I'm afraid prices are going up so fast that I won't be able to afford it when I finally run out...
