Dielectric oil analysis.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows who currently manufacturers dielectric oil testers, such as the lubri-sensor from Northern Technologies. I have found one manufacturer in China, but the cost is massive- about $2k per unit. Must be accurate, give a numerical reading and measure the dielectric difference between used and unused oil in petrol, diesel, hydraulic, trans etc etc.

I work with/for an Australian oil company who uses these heavily in the field- all spare parts have run out, and the demand is rising rapidly for these units, dead or alive.

Thanks for that, I actually found that unit this morning- but I didnt think from the website that they were currently in production? For the absolutely seriously cheap price I would be willing to give it a go and back it with our standard unit for a while, but it may be an absolutely ideal solution for some of our customers.

You are looking for the SKF TMEH-1 unit. It can quickly compare any lubricating oil to a virgin sample. Parker Racor sold the same unit, however I believe they stopped.

I own one along with one of the oilyzer units. It is being sold as the lubricheck now. It is pre programmed for petrol engine use so keep that in mind.
