Did some bodywork this weekend!

My S-10 had two bubbly paint/rust spots on the drivers side door and cab corner. I had a nice dry weekend so I fixed them.

I peeled the lose paint off and wire brushed it.

Sanded it down with a power sander and taped it off, ready for primer.

Great job, just got my paint from www.automotivetouchup.com out of California on Friday. Sanded down acouple bubble spots, filled with fiberglass & primered last week around both wheelwells. Weather permitting--paint tomorrow!! Workin on my Ram.

Did you polish out the tape lines? I have a technique to avoid tape lines, but I would need to to a picture display to demonstrate it.

Another trick is to use Metal Prep (Dupont 5717S or equivalent) on the bare metal to neutralize any microscopic rust ingrained in the metal and etch/prep the bare metal.

Nice job.
 
No, I didn't polish out the tape lines. You can see a little bit of a line if you look closely, but it's really hard to see. Basically my original post is all I did to it.
