I grew up in VA, but mine came back as northern New York State (Buffalo/Rochester). With an outlier in Grand Rapids, MI. A friend of mine still living in VA got the same upstate result. Odd, none of our parents are from there.
I am a west coaster through and through. All three most similar cities are in California and one is the city in which I currently live, Corona, which is within 20 miles of where I grew up.

It nailed where I grew up, but since there is no major city in western WV it said Louisville even though WV was a darker red. It also listed Little Rock.
Conversly, I took the test a second time and answered everything with words I've never heard or used before and it gave me Yonkers, Jersey City and Baaahstan.
Five kids in my extended family, all under 15, took it. Each one of their results indicated Fresno and Bakersfield. Must be something about the teen and pre-teen dialect.
The question about what you call the thing that you drink water out of was a dead giveaway to my location. The map after that question was answered "bubbler" made the east side of WI dark red.
The entire rest of the country is a deep, dark blue also.

It still pinpointed you in texas. Which is close enough to be impressive. Mine says I'm from Yonkers/NYC/Edison which I'm not, but I guess like I talk similar to how they do down there.
Worked for me, with very close similarities to North Dakota and Montana, which is not surprising. The most similar individual cities, though, were Des Moines, Stockton, and Fresno.
