Dexos: quaker state full syn vs Mobil full syn?

I see Amazon is selling both of these at the same price. This would be for the Trax. What would you guys and gals choose? Following OLM. 90K miles.

Is it regular Mobil 1 Full Synthetic or the extended performance?

You really can't go wrong with either one.

I will say that if you do ever decide to go for a High Mileage option it seems QS is the only one to offer a Dexos approved High Mileage oil. I have yet to see any other readily available brand offer it.

I think they're talking about Mobil Synthetic, the entry level Synthetic, Quaker State is a better oil that entry level Mobil Synthetic.

If you're not stuck buying from Amazon, I'd get the Quaker State Ultimate Protection from Walmart it's a buck cheaper than either of those on Amazon,

Guess I misread the title. If it’s Mobil Synthetic I’d switch my vote to the QS.

You likely can't go wrong. I have run M1 EP for a couple years in my Frontier. I tried QSFS one round. Obviously there was no problem but it seemed to use a tiny bit - like 1/3 quart in a 5000 OCI. I switched back to M1EP and the usage has stopped, so might have just been due to the switch? I had actually purchased another bottle of the QS stuff thinking I would run it, but have decided not to. It could be the switch, could have been this particular engine - Nissan VQ.

What are you using now, and why change?

Pennzoil platinum. I like it, just looking at my options.

Well Penzoil and Quaker state are both owned by Shell. Doesn't mean a lot but they might be more similar than M1 would be to either - don't know?
