2005 Acura MDX, 90,000 total miles, 3.5L V-6, 4.5 quart sump

I am interested in your calculator's estimation of both when using either M1 0W-20 or M1 0W-30.

Thanks.

SynPower: 7532 miles or 9 months
PP: 8544 miles or 11 months
Delvac: 7038 miles or 9 months
PYB: 5612 miles or 6 months

Amsoil OE kinda sucks IMO

PYB comes pretty close to the owners' manual OCI of 5K miles. SynPower just sufficient to handle my 7.5k miles, with PP giving more of a margin. Interesting the Delvac HDEO can't go as long as the PCMO synthetics.

And I am guessing TBN figures prominently in the equation you've developed.

Would love to see your calculator implemented into a web app.

'04 Nissan Altima w/ 2.5L 4cyl...QSGB 5W30 SN/GF-5
'06 Mazda 3 w/ 2.0L 4 cyl...Havoline DS 5W20 SN/GF-5
'80 Firebird FORMULA w/ V8 4bbl...QS DEFY 5W30 SM GF/4(I need to look this up as it may be SL/GF-3 due the extra Zinc)

Don't you need to know the mileage of each vehicle and the driving style, winter/summer or cold startup idling or the % of city/hiwy miles traveled?

Thank you, I look forward to the results!

CB

Lexus 7940 miles or 10 months
Altima 5482 miles or 6 months
Mazda 6014 miles or 7 months
Firebird: 4975 or 6 months div>

Thank you!
Yes, the Firebird has a 4.5 qt capacity only because I am using an oversized oil filter. It's a 4.9L/301 V8 that actually requires only 4 qts according to the OM and my dipstick measurements. But, I've been using an oversized GM filter since the early 90's.

Thanks! I knew my 7,000 mile OCI was a bit conservative! If not for the 36 quarts in my stash I'd extend it a bit...

Good to know, for comparison Mobil 1 would knock you down to 9300 miles while Mobil Super 5000 drops it to 6300 miles.
