1. 2BM wash/ Sonax Fallout remover
2. Nano skin
3. Meguire's Ultimate polish on a blue polishing pad
4. Klasse Sealant on a red finishing pad- 3 coats 8 hours apart.
Should be good for another year. That Klasse stuff is a pain to work with at first, but the results and durability are worth it.

Nice job. I'm trying to muster the energy to do one of mine. At the moment I have too much work and other projects going on.

Thanks everyone!

Those are rock rails...I bedlined them. Nothing else would hold up during winter.

How do you like your KL? I've considered getting a newer Renegade or Limited to replace my TJ- heresy, I know...

The Liberty (KJ) or Cherokee (KL)?

The KJ has been great. With an Old Man Emu upgrade, it rides and handles great. It can hang with a TJ or XJ off road just fine. Refined enough on the street...I feel like it's the perfect balance between the campy feel of older Jeeps like an XJ and still very comfortable for trips.

The KL is great for what it is, it's not the off roader the KJ is or what a TJ or XJ is. Some will say the Trail Hawk is, but still...
It's a good all weather DD, holds its own in snow.

You can get an electric wax spreader and remover for $20-25 at Walmart and some Mothers Synthetic Wax for $7 at WM. Let the machine and product do all the work instead of your arm and hands. Makes things much more fun. The machine will apply a thin, even coat of sealant. Let dry and change bonnets from the foam one to the microfiber bonnet which will remove the product. If the car needs to be clayed then don't forget that step prior to using the machine and sealant.

I did my time with those Walmart buffers...they're good (and safe) for using a wax or sealant, but I wouldn't want to apply anything more abrasive without a DA (dual action) machine. I use a Porter Cable 7424XP, got it for $100. You can get any pad composition/hardness and size to do any type of work you need. I use different sizes for different parts of vehicles. The WM ones are limited to foam (usually one type of foam) and microfiber.

Just my opinion, if literally all you're going to do is apply wax, then the WM will serve you well. But once you get that, you'll want to do more and probably will get a PC 7424XP or a Flex 3401 etc...it's a slippery slope.

WM also has a $50 polisher that is a DA and variable speed. It has 3 pads, foam, MF and wool. If you could put normal polishing pads on it I would like it much better. Maybe it could be easily modified but haven't looked in that.

I only compare the WM polishers to doing it all by hand. In that regard they're so much better.

Harbor Freight has a knock off of the Porter Cable for like $60....forgot about that one. Uses all the normal PC backing plates.

Is the WM one the Meguire's system? That's a decent one.

No the $50 polisher is a just an amped up version of the $20 cheap polisher with the same pad system. I bought one, tried it out and later returned it. No hassles but I feel funny returning things for some reason. If the pad system was better for correcting it would be a score. Same manufacturer for all the polishers.

Oh. I'd give the HF one a shot, gets good reviews. Not as refined as the PC apparently, but who cares if you're not using it daily.
