I feel like I am searching for a Unicorn or the Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow.

Just received Dell Business Multimedia Keyboard-KB522 from Dell Website. It only gave specific computers it worked with. I thought having an older Optiplex 760 with Windows 7 the media controls would work. I was wrong. I contacted Dell and they basically said pound sand, but they did have a server to sell me.

So Dell does not show a driver for this keyboard under driver support. Does anyone know how to get the media controls to work or a functioning driver? Thanks!

USB is a standardized interface and windows recognized keys like calculator, play and volume knobs work without special drivers. The only exception is if there is a controller and macro keys in the keyboard to program (gaming usually). If that program is Win10 only is your problem. Google the "model number + WIN7 Driver"

Thanks! It is working now. But only if I plug into front USB port. I did install a driver from Dell Multimedia Keyboard for up to XP. That was after media functions failed when plugged into back. If I plug keyboard into the back of computer no more media controls. I only need one USB in front so I will consider this fixed or good enough.
