Deleting App on iPhone

It's always smart to re-boot if something isnt working as it should. Clearly the OP was having an issue, possibly update related. If all fails re-boot absolutely. Once in a great while an app doesnt behave like it should, again, re-boot. It's just common sense.
Agreed. It's a computer in the end and there's a reason why ITs first response is reboot whenever you have a problem.

My reboot story:

This was several years ago, my mother in laws iPhone hadn't been receiving texts for weeks. I think it was receiving calls but no texts. I'm the family IT, so she asks me about it. I reboot the phone.

Weeks worth of texts start flooding in.

You can also delete apps from the Settings>General>Storage menu.
1000MPH- you were right! Kudos to you.

Thanks to all for the helpful responses. I apologize for this frivolous question.

I always deleted apps by holding down and remove the unwanted app. It used to work.

It still does. Running iOS 18.0.1 here.
