Here is the plate I’ll be sporting tomorrow going to work and back. Don’t know why the 25 sticker looks so dirty lol. Taking dads car to put tires on it. 284,700 exactly on the clock as of tonight. Hopefully it will make it 30 miles to work lol. I’m carrying coolant with me just in case I think when we pulled that water pump off it must of took every ounce of coolant out with it. It’s been drinking it out of the reservoir. At least sporting this plate is better than sporting regular ones haha. We are going to order new ones soon as this one right near the 4 is beginning to bubble which is an issue they have had with these plates since their release in 2013. I’m not sure yet what he wants to get for it but he has talked about replacing them for a bit since they are bubbling.

Got a mail call now. Just arrived today. It arrived pretty quickly from our member @Cruisin'n5thgear . Straight from the junkyard off a nice farm truck. Thanks for the plate. Two Oklahoma scores today I’m doing good haha. The dent at the bottom of this one should easily tap out with a rubber mallet.
"Farm Truck" from Street Outlaws. Time to get an old Chevy for that plate, lol.

I would like to get one that says like riding dirty or no F's given.

I have the problem of always trying to figure out what the license plate says or the bumper stickers on the back or any of that stuff.

Here is some new plates that showed up today. By far my favorite one is the one that says 79BEETL on it. The Florida antique one is also cool I really like the color of it. The Virginia leaves plate is the revised design plate that they came out with after recalling the old design. That was way back before my time in 1997 lol. The series really has not moved that much they are only on the BBL series now. So it’s moved some but not a lot. Had they kept the old design there probably would be a lot more. The plate below the leaves plate is the Great Seal plate which is still issued today just without the blue border around the outer part of the plate. The Clean Special Fuel plates are typically ab as an optional plate to hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles however any car can get them I’ve seen them on trucks, vans, regular gas cars etc. There are no special requirements for the plates. I do wish it was a pair though like all of them but maybe I can find their mates someday lol. Then two sets of Virginia plates. The XWU were the ones that I was supposed to get last time when the others were sent by mistake but that’s ok. I still think the Beetle one is my favorite.

Long live the embossed license plates! I hate that they've moved to the flat digital plates. In Ohio, they've transitioned their general circulation plates from embossed to digital within about the last year or so (part way through the first letter being a "J" in the 3-letter 4-numeral sequence). I have one of the last of the embossed plates as they got to the end of the line before the wholesale change.

I agree. I hate the flat style ones. Some states still issue embossed standard ones then if you order personalized they give you flat ones. Luckily Virginia still gives embossed plates. I hope they never switch to flat plates.

2011 onwards shipping plate.

German civilian plates have to be surrendered to the German authorities before a vehicle is shipped back to the US. Since 2010 such vehicles are issued with temporary plates in the style described above starting with the letters QQ (previously SH was used). In 2011 the authority sticker was abandonned in favor of bigger letters USA in the blue band.

What I gathered from my quick Google search is that this is probably someone in the military that was based in Germany And had the car shipped back to the U.S.A. 🤔

Got a few more up tonight. I went to Lowe’s and purchased 60 more S hooks. They have them in bulk for cheap. The 79BEETL plate I definitely wanted to hang up. I didn’t have a Maine one hanging up anyway so it was needed. Then hung up my Vermont plate. Hung up one Idaho and one Missouri. Currently working on getting all 50 up down to 13 more states to hang. Then I have more I want to hang up too. I didn’t want to spend that much on the S hooks but figured I’ll just have to keep buying them so it’s best to buy a majority of them now. The Missouri plate is another one that @HemiBenny sent to me. I think it’s definitely one of Missouri’s better looking standard plates. I like it which is why I chose to hang that over some others.

Here is some I never got around to posting. Pretty cool Florida ones. I’m definitely a fan of the Wild Dolphins 🐬 one. I have a NC watermelon plate on the way and a bunch of others too which will be posted upon arrival.

Arrived today. Probably the rarest one in my collection and by far my favorite and most prized one. Been looking for one for years. Thanks to the Facebook member who helped me out. Paid a little more than I wanted too but I had to have it. I appreciate him waiting till pay day to let me pay too. Thanks Matthew. More will be posted later tonight.

Post 2 of 2. A nice old temporary 30 day plate and a Kentucky plate. I’ve gotten more into temporary plates here recently too just they are hard to find. I like the Kentucky plate pretty well too.

Some new arrivals for my collection today. First up a most recent series pair of Virginia plates we are still on the TT series currently at TTB they went backwards from TTZ to TTA like they typically do. Pair of Maryland plates expired in April 2022. I like plates that expire in April cause that’s my birthday month. An older set of the Heritage-State Bird license plates. I love the design on them. You can still get them they are pretty common but go for high dollar because of their well liked design. I have three sets of these now. Might end up with these on my car one day. These were only in use for a year as they were issued December 1992. They were released with this design in July 1992. Then just some older 80s pairs I got for cheap. One set is mismatch but that’s ok I knew that when I bought them. Maybe one day I’ll come across the matches for them. Then lastly a German plate. My first foreign plate.
