Dealership Employees Caught on Dashcam Abusing GR Corolla

Reminds me of the gouge a dealership recently put on the passenger side of my Sonata. Became so upset with the back and fourth, i traded it in on the Malibu. The dealership we bought the Palisade from has been much better....knock on wood.

Out the door on the end of a boot and quick and make those bone heads pay for an extended warranty for the guy and hold their pay and tools till its all paid. No mercy with scum bags like this.
Shop is on the hook liability wise. Employees get their paycheck and tools but it won't be a good idea for them to list this dealership as a former employer.

Toyota or the dealership service manager could also go the extra mile and:

  • Have their Toyota Certification (T-Ten or STAR) revoked.
  • Banished from Toyota dealer employment.
  • Have ASE consider revoking their certifications, this could be a slippery slope though.

He accused them of using his car on personal business because he found a pair of panties in the back. The Mobil station said that's ridiculous to insinuate I drove your car with a female.
Was this an admission by the shop that one of their techs wears women's panties?

My wife and I have always used indies for our vehicles and imho, good ones are easily as good as any dealer, and oftentimes better. I absolutely believe this, there are some incredible shops out there and we've had some great experiences. You have to do your research of course because not-so-great shops exist as well. Oh and I haven't found indies to necessarily be cheaper than dealers, but they're often a lot more honest, imo.

Also I should mention we've always bought late model used vehicles. The situation is different obviously if you buy a car new and have the dealer warranty. Then the dealer is the way to go of course.

Didn't see the video, Worked at a performance shop for 15 years.....Pushing a vehicle was part of the job, So much that it got old after awhile....Knowing where all the safe spots are & pray I didn't get clocked doing triple digits.

Link to a working video?

I was annoyed when a mechanic smoked in my car. The smell was obvious when I picked up the car...... A couple days later, I pulled out the lighter on a whim and saw that it had been used. First world problems, yes I know, but it bugged me that my pristine one-owner ten-year-old car was no longer in the "never been smoked in" category.

The smoking would bother me more than them hammering on my car at a weekend track event. I hate that smell.

Same thing happened to me with a blue '83 Cutlass Supreme that was 10 years old and belonged to my grandpa previously. Only had 21k miles when I received it.
