I had rear brake drum work done on my neon (with many a post on here). I didn't drive it for three weeks. The front desk lady called me and said my front rotors were "shot " as they had rust on them. I had to refrain from coming unglued as I explained to her that rotors do that if they sit for an extended period without use.
