Biggest turn off are nutcases.

Forget the prenup, or the credit check, get a psych evaluation.

Been there, done that, still paying the price.

+1000 NO fooling I was just there with a woman, she was on 1 antidepressant and chasing it with a 2nd antidepressant as a chaser!. Trust issues, daddy issues, passive aggressive. Fun while it lasted though if you know what I mean lol

Cheaters, liars, no ethic or moral code, if she's liberal it ain't going to happen and most importantly if she refuses to help with the car and can't turn a wrench she might as well go kick dirt because she ain't got a snow balls chance in [censored]

With so many horrid things to watch out for I'm glad I already have a decent girlfriend.....but....if I was into the dating scene again these are the things that would cause me to run for the hills.

No significance to the order:
1. Drinking too much, any drugs, or smoking.
2. My interpretation of sleazy.
3. An annoying voice.
4. Lives at the mall.
5. High credit card debt.
6. Hollywood worship.
7. Cell phone/gizmo addict.
8. Body odor of any kind.
9. Born again/evangelical Christian
10. Being a door-mat with past relationship offspring.
11. Financially inept.
12. Far left of center.
13. Horse lover.
14. Owns more than one or two cats.
15. Can't carry on a conversation above tabloid level.
16. Poor table manners.
17. Daddy's girl.
18. Too much makeup.
19. Doesn't like walks in the out of doors occasionally.
20. Woman's liberation/feminist follower.

And that's just 20 I can think of.

You got this down, sounds like we have known the same women...lol
The ex thing and partying like it's 1999, cell phones too of course are total deal breakers.

I find that many women are financially inept. big turn off.

smokers, drinkers, religious ones giving it "god this", "god that"...

people that dont appreciate things/look after things....they think its ok to mindlessly abuse everything because its "replaceable"...feeds into being inept with $ i guess...

if they have nothing to say for themselves...thats a big NO NO

basic levels of common sense are a MUST, along with a willingnss to at least try to understand basic technical stuff and not cop out with the "oh thats your job".

rant over!

Well..if I were to start over..

1. Proven job track record.
2. Thrifty
3. Reasonably good looking. But a '10' knows it and is unlikely to last.

If you are lucky to survive divorce (50% ) you and your mate will both drift toward a common workable middle ground.

I picked the 3 items above bc IMHO these are the traits that allowed us to last 43 years. And don't forget"You" are actually unlikely to have those 3 qualities (except everyone here will say they have them ) Its a two way street. It takes 2 to succeed but either one can doom the relationship.

Cell phone attached to their ear or they have to text non stop.

Also, I can NOT STAND controlling insecure women who require you to be with them 24/7 and have a fit if you want to see your friends.

More dealbreakers.......liberal,in debt, out of shape, having mental issues, being combative/confrontive(always wanting to argue),not having the ability to just "chill out" and act normal.

Sounds like alcohol/smoking, cell phones, and debt are the biggest deal-breakers! Unfortunately sometimes you don't find out about some of these until you've gone out for a while...

shopaholic women with huge credit card debt is a big no no! I married a financially responsible thrify woman. I'm itchin for a new car to replace my 96 sunfire but she won't let me spend over 20k for a new car. gotta love it.

especially if you have done the deed. some gals hide all the bad stuff about themselves until they hook you in. been there done that.

+100000000000; if she answers a call on her cell and starts blabbering away, I'll get up and leave. I'm that way with anyone actually.

Deal breakers when I was last dating.

Cheaters, smokers, tattoos, no job, height not proportionate to weight, unruly kids, in debt, uneducated, addicted (drugs, alcohol, gambling, you name it.)

I really didn't want a fixer-upper. I didn't want someone who needed rescue. I didn't want someone looking to be completed. After all, who wants someone with some assembly required.

I was looking for someone who was complimentary to me. Not someone who was missing something that she needed me to complete her.

I was looking for someone who challenged me in a good way, who challenged me to be better than I was already and someone who allowed me to do the same.

Someone who was my partner, my friend and my lover. In other words, someone who was already equipped to be a great, faithful wife.

Doesn't having a list of deal-breakers make you closed-minded, LOL???

I guess it does in a way, but this is my list so it doesn't necessarily mean whoever I end up dating is the same
