Yes !
had one previously in a mustang, i know different water pump location.
That engine ran flawlessly until i got rid of the car .

I have the (Bomb) Cyclone engine in my MKZ and had the worst case scenario happen shorty after purchase, but all was covered by the warranty and dealership. That said, many report happy motoring on these engines if you just maintain them properly with syn oil and frequent coolant changes. Other than the beyond stupid coolant pump placement, it is a very sturdy and fun engine and Mazda did a fine job tweaking the Duratec....

Can't even hear it running when sitting at idle .
at what mileage did the pump let go ?
This thing was crazy maintained leafed through the service binder that came with the car owned by a senior lady last four oil changes were done at 3000 to 4000 kilometers so less than 3000 mile oil intervals .Hopefully my daughter lucked out on the MKX.

About 140K I had bought it with maybe 130 on the clock. The current engine came from a seemingly well maintained Ford Edge, the only issue being the engine sat with coating of oil as it was mostly drained. But after some changes with HPL engine cleaner and Rislone, it's clean and seems to have more power....
