Cybertruck experience...

Don't let people around here see you call it a hot rod. Apparently Teslas are all appliances. Just ask @edyvw.

I'm not sure on the wrap thing. I've heard of some finish issues. I haven't seen any that anyone has pulled a wrap off to show it, but I'm sure if it was one of the ones having that issue, wrapping would just mask it.
I mean, it is the same concept as a hairdryer.

What's worse about it is that you've somehow convinced yourself that by completely overcomplicating things it somehow becomes no longer an appliance and a huge cost to operate at the same time.

The M3. A hugely expensive sound making appliance. It's an if one, then the other scenario. It gets you A to B! Appliance!

IDk, EV=Hairdrayer, same concept.

My GTI did this. I'm sure my new Tesla will do this. LEDs don't melt snow. It's pretty infuriating.

The extra shelf as they say doesn't matter. A blocked headlight is a blocked headlight.
My wife's RAM doesn't do this, and it has LED's 🤷‍♂️ My SRT has headlight sprayers.

Too hideous looking for me. No offense to anyone. Hummer Ev (white) looks much better especially in person.
While I don’t want either, I do prefer the Hummer EV. That deep silver they have is nice too.

I definitely don’t love everything Tesla does.

Sometimes I wonder if Elon is playing a huge joke on us... But owners seem to like them. I'll stick to my trusty Tundra, thank you very much.

He knows something we don't for sure. I'm glad someone loves them or it would have been a huge backfire on Tesla's part.

Elon is a genius.

If he produces a bad product, it's not because he made a mistake, he's just trolling, or there is some secret reason we don't understand.
It really does pain me to agree with something like this, but he really hasn't missed when it comes to products. It's just weird.

If he would have made something similar to the Rivian, with the CT dynamics, they would conquer the world. Just my 2 cents.

I mean, I still think the Cybertruck could be a flop. Some early adopters or people with money that want something "different" and "exclusive" are buying them now or already bought them, but once you see more of them that will wear off and it'll just be another vehicle.

I wonder how sales will be in two years, then we will really see if it was a success. I'm not saying it's a bad vehicle... I'm just saying, if you compare it to the GMC Sierra EV, the Cybertruck is worse in literally every way.

While Tesla's 3 and Y are insanely popular because they are actually a good value for what you get, I think most truck buyers that actually want a truck will stick to more "traditional" EV trucks.

If you want something cheap, you go for the F-150 Lightning. If you want something with the best value in terms of towing range, you go for the Silverado EV. If you want the same great towing range but something more premium, you go for Sierra EV. If all you want is a lifestyle vehicle for camping and stuff, Rivian has you covered. And if you want something to one-up your diesel bro friends, you can go with the Hummer EV. I'm not being negative towards Hummer EVs, I think they're cool, and I have no issue with the people that own them... I'm just coming up with a potential buyer for it.

Oh, and if you really do a lot of towing, maybe for work, but you want most of the benefits of an EV on a daily basis, the upcoming Ram plug-in hybrid thing might work for you... If they can produce them in any real numbers and they actually are reliable enough to take on a road trip... we shall see.

If you don't need a truck, and you want a family SUV, instead of the Cybertruck, there are plenty of great options. Hummer EV SUV, Rivian R1S, Mustang Mach-E, Honda Prologue, Kia EV9, whatever the European makes make that I know nothing about, don't they even make an EV G-Wagon now?... to fit all budgets and tastes. The ONLY thing the Cybertruck has is "looking different" and I just don't see that being a long-term sales strategy. Like I said, every one they sell makes it a little less interesting and exclusive. I already see them on a daily basis around here. The first time I saw one? "OMG so exciting!" now "Hey, another Cybertruck" and by the end of the year probably "oh look a car"...

Traditional truck buyers aren't buying Cybertrucks. The vast majority of Cybertruck buyers are first time truck buyers and in many cases previous Tesla owners. It's a different market. I very much doubt any of these EV trucks will be crossovers from truck owners in general unless they're people that just don't tow or never tow far. Most stuff in the $100k range falls into more of a niche market. I know there are lower priced options coming with less power that may help that a bit, but that only brings it in line with the Lightning and I think that's the better truck. Then again, have you heard most truck owners? There's nothing they hate more than an EV and they aren't afraid to tell you to your face.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's an SUV version of the Cybertruck down the road. That would be a bigger market than the truck. I would think most of the buyers of it would have been a buyer of an SUV version too and I think that would also attract a higher end clientele as Escalades and Range Rovers do.

Elon is currently ingratiating himself with the new US government. Perhaps we will soon see cybertrucks patrolling the US borders?

Once the early-adopters get their cybertrucks, the sales will slow. This is a powerplay he could make to keep cybertrucks rolling off the assembly line.

It just keeps getting worse:
