I need a two halfshafts (driver and passenger side) for a '92 Camry w/230k.

I can get Cardone Reman, Fenco Reman and GSP New Halfshafts locally.

Prices are all around $60/each. Fast Undercar sells the GSP Halfshafts, which are new, as opposed to the reman units by the other brands. I prefer new as I want new cv joints, not joints that have been reground.

However, if GSP's quality is poor, then its pointless. So, which of those brands do you folks prefer? Do any of you have experience with GSP halfshafts?

Thanks.

Personally, I like Raxles. But I suspect my needs are different than yours :)

I'd probably buy OEM if I was just replacing stock units. Assuming OEMs were not insanely priced, at least.

IIRC Advance auto has some lifetime warranty new ones at nearly the same price as rebuilt ones. Plus if you look around this site you can find a code for 40% off and they are offering free shipping...Hard to beat that deal!

Do not use the A1 cardone. We have had to redo so many jobs under warrenty that used A1 units. had three gear boxes on a chrysler till I finally got one that worked. There reman process is poor, and I believe they have bought up most of the smaller good rebuilders, wheather it be brake calipers, alternators, or half shafts ect. It is to the point at the shop we have stopped using there products all together, just will not do it. I do not want to take away from your question or start a bashing thread, but we have just seen so many problems with there products, and you can not make enough on a job to do it for free a second time

GSP are made in china. I have installed many of them. None came back...... However, I rather have something else.

Given the remaining probable life span in a 230K eight year old Camry, I doubt that it will matter much.
Almost anything you buy at this point will outlast the car.

Thanks. We bought a set of Master Pro Halfshafts, new, for a good price as we had them match a promo. Do you know who makes those?
