I sort of agree. Its a shame it wont be used as intended, but then, it is nice to have the knowledge from someone who" took one for the team".

I once saw a multi-million dollar GE turbine engine made into a cutaway. The purpose is information and education.

You think they used components that would have otherwise made it into a usable engine. Trust me, there are a lot of NFFA parts in aviation... and by bet is that's what they use.

I think the lighting is the last photo kinda makes it look brassish. It isn't though.

I just installed an RTO-59 on my dads 16 LML along with 2.5 gallons of Traveller CK-4 15w40. It cost ~$28 to change the oil this go around, the Traveller 2.5 gallon jugs are on sale at Tractor Supply for $20. I'll probably run this combo for the full OLM interval, usually that's about 7,500 miles and around 500 hours. I might cut it open afterwards if there's any interest here?

7,823 miles and 591.8 hours on this filter. Off my dads 2016 LML using Traveller 15w40 CK-4 oil. The OLM was ran down to 0%.
