Really there's nothing in there that could really break down so as long as you have good oil chemistry (i.e. acidic PH, excessive soot, etc). The end cap glue is thick and made for the application. The check valve is silicone. The media is synthetic. Can't go wrong.
Thing I always liked about FRAM stuff is that (despite being owned by a private owner now) they were once a Honeywell-owned brand for a decade or so and before that an Allied-Signal-owned brand for many years. Both huge powerhouse companies with PHD's, smart engineers, big labs, tons of resources, statistical wizardy, etc. Look at Wix...they were owned by Dana who went kaput. Pur0later has always been a stagnant filter company who dabbled in logistics for a while, but now owned by Mann-Hummel. Soon Wix-Mann-Puro will all be under the same owner. And Champion more-or-less was always a small-town low tech manufacturer (now FRAM).
