Likely 20,000 miles on an Ultra in a clean engine is feasible.
Yet, wait a minute, we don't really know that. That's why just take it to 15,000 miles max..... If only we knew, but we don't.

I agree , I think the Fram Ultra is the best Filter out there right now.

Nothing comes close

a guy just posed picture of a BD+ and the filter didnt look in good shape IMO.

Plus the price is right with a FRAM ULTRA..

Fram Did a Good job on the FRAM ULTRA

and personally I think it can go 20K miles with a good clean engine and with Good Oil that is made for 20 Miles

Sure all them filters you said above are good oil filters

However would you run a Boesh Distance Plus

I wouldnt.

Ya I would. I also forgot to mention amsoil ea.
Heck I run motorcraft 10k without batting an eye. And their a paper media.

Looks awesome. I'm also a fan of the FU.

Really there's nothing in there that could really break down so as long as you have good oil chemistry (i.e. acidic PH, excessive soot, etc). The end cap glue is thick and made for the application. The check valve is silicone. The media is synthetic. Can't go wrong.

Thing I always liked about FRAM stuff is that (despite being owned by a private owner now) they were once a Honeywell-owned brand for a decade or so and before that an Allied-Signal-owned brand for many years. Both huge powerhouse companies with PHD's, smart engineers, big labs, tons of resources, statistical wizardy, etc. Look at Wix...they were owned by Dana who went kaput. Pur0later has always been a stagnant filter company who dabbled in logistics for a while, but now owned by Mann-Hummel. Soon Wix-Mann-Puro will all be under the same owner. And Champion more-or-less was always a small-town low tech manufacturer (now FRAM).
